Default prodrive exhaust question

i have currently got a standard impreza sti type uk 54 reg. i'm planning on upping the power.

the only mod the car has so far is the walbro 255 fitted.

i have sourced a full prodrive PPP exhaust which includes the sports cat, decat centre and prodrive backbox.

is it safe to fit the exhaust system just now and wait a couple months to get it remapped when funds allow?

would fitting the exhaust affect the air/fuel ratio and cause damage?

if so i mite just throw the back box on just now to tidy it up a bit as the sti pipe is looking tired.

cheers in advance
andy

I'd wait to fit til you can get it remapped - backbox will be fine but it will ruin the way it drives swapping the sports cat in there and possible cause damage through overboost.

This is the true spirit of SNet. Dynamix and JGM in particular are always ready with their free (and always sound) advice, even when it means advising work is not needed. Keep it up guys
