Default heater matrix leaking :(

as my previous post asking about the ecu being a 6s in my v3 sti i now know that it is , AFTER GETTING MY HANDS WET has any 1 ever changed these before , have done it on a passat and it was a nightmare , i take it its the same DASH OUT job as most cars or is there a way to get the bugger out without removing the dash was putting a pint of water back in it every week for the past two weeks now i know why lol

done the passat in a few hours but they are a nightmare , subarus seem to be quite scabby when it comes to thier interior fixings so i suppose if i dont want to braek anything it may take a while
