My wifes considering selling her Sti V5 TypeR and was just wondering what it would fetch nowadays?

Paintwork is Ok. It has 2 dings in doors by some ***** in carparks. Cant take pictures of them as they dont show.

i bought a virtually standard V4 Type R for £4500 (not saying yours is worth that just a ballpark figure) only mods on mine are front bumper,rear spoiler,Dare wheels and Simtek ecu.

 

I've been having a look as I'm thinking of selling mine aswell. V5 seem to go between 5-8k depending on condition and mods. I think you should at least get 7k for it as long as your not in a rush to get rid of it. You'll probably get more if you wait till summer as well.

 

you can pick v5's up for around 5500.

 

Sold my v5 ltd for £7800 last July, god i miss it! As said above anywhere from £5-£8k for good ones imo.

Well I know it isn't the same but I have my 1998 V3 STi Ra on a 'R' plate up for sale for £5k and only getting a little interest and it has a few mods. I have seen cars like mine for sale for between £4k and £6k but do they sell??? Very very hard market out there at the mo so it all depends on how long you are willing to wait on a sale.

 

Its a limited market selling a typr R, bought mine with 27.5k on the clock back in dec 08 for 5k, little rust but all sorted now (arches and around the windscreen which is still the original).
Think it just depends what you find at the time
