i think i might need a remap,

i have a 2002 bug wrx wagon, i have a decat up pipe a decat centre section and the cars not running good at all.

im noticing spluttering in 4th and 5th gear but seems ok in lower gears allthough im not even getting 15 mpg when driving at normal speeds.

anyone who can help

More than likely a MAF or Lambda fault.

You need to find somebody who can datalog the ECU and read the fault codes, to find out what's wrong with it.

 

Do you have a boost gauge?

 

no dont have a boost gauge just the 2 decats at present,

have had the car 2 years now but allways had some trouble usually booting it in 4th brings the cel on.dosent seem to affect the running though.

anyway had it checked twice first time was crank sensor then the second time was a misfire in 1 2 3 and 4 cylinders, so had a full service inc plugs but the first time i booted it in 4th the dreaded light again so its allways been there but since decat its got a lot worse
