Default Pin Out Descriptions

Hi,

When the injectors are listed in the ECU pin outs as #1,2,3,4 does this refer to the cyl number or the firing order?

I assume its the cyl number but anyone know for sure???

Thanks,

-Robbie

Thanks.

Edit;

2nd question.... if the injectors are switched GND from the ECU (and therefore have a IGN switched 12v supply) why does the '93-'96 pin out show connections for injector GND? (B44 - 24, 25)

Cool, so what are pins B44 - 24, 25 if injectors are earthed via ECU on pins 13,12,11,26 (con B44)????

Seems a little strange??!!

AFAIK it's the ground points that are used by the ecu in order to pull the injectors to ground - if that makes sense

The injectors are powered by a seperate loom wire (yellow/red from memory) that is not part of the ECU loom

What is the firing order of the flat-4, while we're at it?

Most in-line-4's are 1-3-4-2 (I think)... Is the flat-4 any different?

Actually, wouldn't the firing order match the injector order, because the firing stroke of each cylinder would be relative to its induction stroke, if you get what I mean?

Firing order 1-3-2-4. So Cyl 1 fires first, Cyl 3 fires 2nd etc etc.

Making a couple of patch cables, one to connect a GEMS unit to the OEM harness. Will have to include some more wires for MAP, AIT, Oil Press, Sw I/P's etc etc so just wanted to be clear on all the OEM connections before I start
