Classic still having some issues :(
Hi all,
I really need some advice - I have a classic Impreza Sport AWD (non Turbo) on a P Reg.
I have posted before about hesitation issues and have since replaced the coil pack and leads, but it still seems to be lagging slightly on pull off and sometimes when I put my foot down there is no power, but then seems to correct itself and goes like a bullet.
I have checked the ECU ( connectors under the dash) and no codes came up.
What else could be causing the problems (hopefully not to costly).
Also could use an ECU from a Legacy same age and cc?
Should I use super unleaded or is that more for Turbo models?.
And could my injectors need a clean ? - if so is this easy to do.
Thanks in advance

i think the lack of replies is because u have a sport lol try gapping the spark plugs ( new ones ) and remove the cat or have a new one fitted as cats can block up on the sports and turbos and cause poor running , i wouldnt go as far as fitting a leg ecu s the sport one would be fine , super unleaded wouldnt go a miss either but isnt necesary also try adjusting the throttle position sensor slightly to see if that sorts it as it has for me often ( sti though ) but its worth a try , fuel pressure regulator could be faulty check this by taking the rubber hose off it and rev the car and see if fuel leaks out a lot , the regulator can be found on the end of the fuel rail and also try some redex injector cleaner ?
