I have a WRX Jap Import and have a power issue. When I put my foot down through the higher gears it starts jerking and it's as if I'm putting my clutch in and out. There's also a lot a pressure in the pipes, can anyone help please??

 

You're not exactly giving us much to go on here. What you've said has the ring of overboost about it, but it'll be much easier for us to work out what's up and advise you if you give us some more details. The age of the car, what you mean by "a lot of pressure in the pipes" etc. etc. etc.

 

Have only recently bought the car and haven't really got a clue when it comes to Subarus! It's a 1992 model, I've recently had the thermostat housing gasket replaced on it and was told that there's a lot of pressure in the pipes when you feel them?

 

when does it start jerkin like where is the rev range at ? as splitpin said you might have a problem with the boost pipes as it might be overboosting, you might have a problem with your boost solenoid and waste gate actuator as it might be leaking boost. is the engine manegement light on if yes then you might have a problem with a sensor and so on..... just give more berief information about the problem.

Any modifications on the car (ie decat?) but we need more info like that, model/year/modifications etc otherwise its a needle in a haystack.
