Default engine check light!!!please help

ive had my my93 wrx import for a couple of months and it has been brilliant, but i was driving the other day and my engine check light came on and the car went into limp mode, i reset the ecu not knowing what to do and it was fine and then a couple of days later it came on again, so i had some one look at it and sort the flashcodes out and it keeps coming up with code 43 which is the throttle position sensor, i have changed this but the light keeps coming back on and limiting the car to 4k revs and half boost, the light only comes on when im in boost at over 4k revs though!

i cant think for the life of me whats wrong so any help you guys could give me id really really appreciate!!

thanks ever so much!

there's your problem then - Rev limit is enforced at 4500rpm (if i remember correctly) whrn there is no speed signal to the ecu (from the clocks)

The cable is 2 piece, and normally the smaller piece snaps (attached to the driver's side of the gearbox)

Check that it's routed correctly, as it should be able to reach the bottom half of the cable, even without a speedo convertor fitted.

i have just checked again and now im getting these codes...
24-idle air control sensor
31-throttle position sensor
33-vehicle speed sensor(i guess this on is because my speedo cable isnt connected as somehow its too short)

can any of you tell me exactly where these sensors are please? im desperate now and ive even started thinking about getting rid of the car because i cant be doing with the hassle of it all anymore!

cheers

Idle control valve is bolted to the back of the inlet manifold, on the passenger side of the engine - It should have a green part number sticker on it.

Throttle Position Sensor is the black 'box' on the side of the throttle body
