my p1 with its original vf28 on 80k makes a whoosh noise wheen on boost at around 4000 rpm, dont think i got any leaks and it does pull cleanly, only really started doing it after a remap- running 1.5 bar.
is it me turbo do you think?

 

Did you have a cone filter (junking the OEM airbox) fitted, prior to the remap? Could it not be this?

 

no mate, kept the stock airbox, had it decated though

 

if the downpipe cat is removed the turbo can be heard a lot more when spooling up, sounds great
