Default PPP ECU with Full decat?

Thinking of fitting a PPP ECU to my 98 uk turbo, would it run ok with a fully decatted exhaust system?

Already have aftermarket stainless exhaust with decat and Sti intercooler. Was thinking of going down the PPP route rather than apexi ecu etc as they are a lil to expensive at the moment.

Is it worth doing?

Cheers for any advice

I've run a MY98 with PPP and full decat at least 95.000 miles - no problems. Frequent track day use. But yes - it WILL overboost with the stock boost control. I used a Turbo XS HPBC manual boost controller at 1.2 bar.

Cheers guys..

So is it worth doing? Noticeable power difference? Or just a waste of time?

You will gain about 10bhp, but as i have stated (and posts by prodrive on the matter also) they can det, seen it with my own eyes.
