Default My wrx is a GL on the logbook, can i get it changed...

My wrx 'project' says it's a GL on the logbook, all the chassis numbers, reg and that all add up, was told it done like this so the tax wouldnt be so much, can i get it changed to wrx which it should be?

Im awaiting a lot of sarcastic comments now, lol.

(it's an imported one btw)

Yeah its best to if you are in an accident you wont be covered by your insurance alot of imports are wrongly registered

ok, thanks, i expect it was to save the importer money, cause surely the tax is all the same now on cars registered before 01?

i dont think insurance has anything to do with it. so long as he insures it as a wrx then hes covered. lots of people have import wrxs on the logbook as a gl. mine is as a "2.0 r"
it doesnt matter. best to leave it imo. there is a legit reason for it iirc.

As above, mine is a GL but insured as a WRX. Therefore no problem leaving as is.

If you decide to try and change it, good luck with the DVLA!
