Default stalling

can anyone point me in the right direction. i have a version 1 import sti. i have just had a front mount intercooler fitted, with an induction kit, occasionally when i dip the clutch to stop the engine cuts out, or the rev counter drops to zero and then sits back at around 600-800 rpm. i have had the car on the rolling road and everything was set up. i was advised t hat i had a weak acctuator but that it shouldnt cause any problems !!!! anyone got any suggestions please,,,,,,,,

Does your car use a MAF? I am not to hot on the classics. If so it could be that the turbulence caused by the induction kit is upsetting the MAF readings. I recntly put my MAF as a blow through unit due to using a induction kit so will have to see what happens when I get the OE ECU mapped nex year. I normally run a GEMs which uses a MAP sensor.
