Default ecu codes

just checked the ecu codes on my 2007 wrx as I've got the cel light flashing was like this when i bought it thought it was going to be the de cat down pipe but its come up with code p0851 neutral switch input circuit low and p0502 vehicle speed sensor circuit low.will this be why the lights is flashing.and are both sensors on the gearbox

Are the green test connectors under the dash still connected?

If they are, the CEL will flash.

Yes there are. Under the drivers side dash you will see two green connectors. These sound like they are joined together.
