MY93 WRX Power steering leak
Now, this has been going on for a couple of years!
There is a fluid leak from somewhere around my steering rack - nothing massive, I've perhaps put in a litre of ATF over the past 18 months - but enough to make the area on and around the rack a bit messy.
Previous MoTs have had an advisory, but the local garage has changed their tester, and he's now failed it because of the leak - even though he couldn't tell me where the leak was coming from! The steering is fine, provided there's fluid in the reserviour!
So, from people's previous experience, where could the leak be coming from, and what's the best way of dealing with it? I don't want to get a new rack if it's not needed.
