Default impreza fault code Tumble generator valve circuit #2 (open circuit)

hi all after my engine managment light kept coming on i decided to buy a obdII lead and software for my laptop (£30 quid off ebay and works on most makes of cars well worth the money) it came up with no faults as engine managment light had gone off which it kept doin it came up with 3 faults
Tumble generator valve circuit #2 (open circuit)p1096
Tumble generator valve #1 (RH) malfunction (stuck open)p1090
Tumble generator valve #2 (LH) malfunction (stuck open)p1092
anyone know what this is and where there located can it be cleaned or replaced ????

yes there are 2. 1 is located infront of the turbo on the inlet manifold and the other in the opposite corner of the manifold.

They're a pain in the hole. Best bet is to get a throttle position sensor to replace the TGV sensor if its definately fecked. Check the wiring, cause ye've got the P1096 code. Think its 4V if yer checkin the wires with a meter - i'd double check that wi the Jolly Green Monster though.
