the 18G it is a stright bolt on however you will need a nice list of supporting mods, 550 injectors fpr,3 inch s/s, decat, ported headers or gt spec headers nice big knN, uprated fuel pump, fmic or a newage topmount you can run more boost with a fmic and it will make more power than tmic it will also be more efficient on track and under real abuse.
the best advice i can give you dont buy from all these unknown sources never take shortcuts and your car will be nice and reliable. anything your not sure about just post up on the forum and im sure some one will come along to give you the right advice
mus
p.s forgot to add mapping and clutch to the list and if your going to drive fast you need to control it so brakes and springs or coilovers
good luck mate

If its standard then forget running that 18g unless you want lots of standard internal pieces scattered inside your engine and engine bay when it puts a piston through the block.
Then the next question is "is my gearbox and clutch standard"
If the answer is yes to both then you really dont want to run this turbo unless you want lots of revs, crunching and no go as both your clutch and gearbox will be knackered in a short period of time.
If you answered yes to both the above questions about the car having standard engine/gearbox and clutch, then your next question is "what exactly can I run and what supporting modifications do I need?"

standard internals and gear box. Been using the 18g for the last year or so without any hassles. However,,,, did snap a rod when i first brought the car six years ago with the td04

Pretty much anything over 340-350bhp and your rods are straining to pop, they are really weak unless you have upgraded them (classic ones are weaker than new age) so trouble will be brewing, and since the late 90's to early 2000's, the general consensus for classic engines has been rebuild at 320bhp, they have not gained better internals since then

may be, but the mad thing is, i snapped a rod on the td04 (unmodified) then after replacing parts with oe bits i went to using a vf28, vf35, td05 16g and now the 18g in six years without any probs at all (touch wood)
