Default hawkeye wrx safe bhp ??

Im in the process of tuning the car (06 wrx), someone has told me the engine wont hold much more than 300 bhp without going pop ! obviously i dont want the rebuild costs but i do want the power ! is this true

more like 350

my wrx is running 325 with no problems

330-350 is safe,after this u need to start upgrading the internals,
but all depends on how much abuse ure engine has taken

mapped a few 2.5 hawkeye wrx's to around 350bhp with absolutely no issues. Makes for a superb road car with the 5 speed gearing.
