Guy's, just had a read in an auto trader P1 advert spec list and to my suprise it's top speed is listed as 155mph. Can that be? Of all the stuff i have searched about top mount intercoolers not been any use in a classic over 100mph this comes as a shock.

Other than that 155mph from a 280bhpcar with such a close ratio gearbox is not bad at all.

Any P1 boys able to shed some light for me please?

 

Its limited to 155mph, the JDM's were limited to 112mph but so are all cars in japan.

Limited!! 155!! Thats not bad at all. I derestricted my STi V2 with 260ps and there is no way it goes close to 155mph. I am liking the P1 more and more!

 

You probably have a shorter ratio'd box on your V2 STI, my V5 STI type R is ratio'd to 155(approx) mph in 5th, the P1 should be ratio'd to about 167mph in 5th

True, my WRX has 280ps but only 112mph tops (180kph).
Make sure it's undersealed though.
