Default sti intercooler

hi guys.

Does anyone know if the intercooler of a classic sti fits a classic wrx. Pre facelift? And is there any difference

Pre Newage there is no difference between the WRX/UK/euro and the contemporary STi's, just the bling.
The difference is the inlet hose where the STi's have alu/rubber, smoother and sturdier, whereas the wrxs' have do with plastic pipes that break on boosts above, say, 1,2 bar.

With every evolvment of the cars Subaru put on better and better ICs, and since 2001 (newage) the STis have bigger ICs than contemporary WRXs

Post facelift STI is bigger than a prefacelift WRX one.

All depends what you want from the car really as a FMIC is normally a lot less hassle

thanks for reply. Mines seen better days so looking at changing it for something with more life life in it. So it should be a straight swap

Post facelift into pre facelift unfortunantely isn't a straight swap.

ive seen a intercooler from an 95 sti and i wanted to know if it that would fit straight on to my 95wrx? I know the facelifts are set straight rather than on an angle.
