Smile MOT time questions

Hi MOT time coming up so i have a few questions

I have a MY93 with full 3" de-cat Blitz exhaust and i have chucked in a z4 ecu ..she runs great but rich.

I am worried about mot emissions (i should worry about noice lol) should i put my old ecu in because she is running rich?

Also i have been told 93 models need a different emissions test ie easy one no cat ect...
And to fill tank half full and chuck in redex????

thanks for your time

emissions you should be fine as they have to do a non cat test on imports up to august 95, my 95wrx passed fine ( 3" decat and blitz nurspec exhaust) , and that runs quite rich , hope this helps

Why put in Redex i doubt that will do anything, your best bet is to take get it tested if it fails borrow a cat put it on then take it off after the test

using the mot hand book(section 7.3) if the vehicle was first used between 1/9/92 and 31/7/95 and it is an import(99% sure they all are)then the station should carry out a non CAT test:- CO<=3.5% and HC<=1200ppm.hope it helps,
mik.

Should be easy, my ratty old 85 metro turbo'd mini will make these numbers and that's got almost nothing to make it run cleanly.

A lot of MOT places are clamping down on noise pollution as well now so be very wary if you have a non resonated blitz system on there
