When I purchased my 1995 RA rally car it was already fitted with a Pace Products FMIC but we have been suffering from a problem with intermittant Anti Lag which I have been told is most likely due to high charge temp.

I have never been really satisifed with the FMIC as its fitted at in front of and at the top of the radiator and seems to be pretty well blocked by the grill and bumper, we looked at moving it but due to the position of the inlet and outlet it has to fit in its current location. Am I right in assuming this is seriously limiting the performance of the FMIC?

The engine is basically an STI with a few mods, bigger turbo, Motec ECU and Gp N exhaust system running around 295hp (thanks to the poxy 34mm restrictor we have to run), at those sort of figures am I actually benefiting from running a FMIC (especially one that doesnt seem to be fitted in an ideal place) or would i be better off running a TMIC?

I seem to get a different answer from various people so i thought i'd ask on here to see which is my best option, stick with a less than ideal FMIC or revert to a TMIC and if the TMIC is the better option which one to go for?
