Default KYB's knocking ?

You thoughts and advise please

I currently have have a standard STi shock on the passenger side and the KYB on drivers, not ideal i know but the std STI shock is only about 3 k newer than the KYB, I Have noticed a knocking sound coming from the replacement KYB (OEM spec),

Do these things knock as well ? i have checked to make sure there is nothing rolling around in the boot ! But it definataly seems to be coming from the drivers side shock !

Also how safe is it to drive with these knocking, i have about 1000 miles to do before i can get it in anywhere and don't fancy doing it in my daughters 1.2 punto

Regards Tony

Are you sure there isn't something loose - for example the damper shaft top nut?

It's impossible for us to comment on the safety or otherwise of you doing 1000 (or 1) miles with a potential suspension problem, as, obviously enough, none of us can look at your car and satisfy ourselves that it's nothing serious.

If there's any doubt, get it looked at.
