A question that's quite possibly been asked before but.........

If I was looking to replace the backbox on my 06 Hawkeye STI for something slightly louder than the Prodrive PPP backbox - what would be the recommendation ?? I don't want something loud enough to wake up Saturn but I'm keen to get a little more growl than I do from the standard PPP backbox.

Suggestions ?

 

the TSL group n or hayward & scott (scoobysport) would be the best upgrade for you.

i have a full decat with the h&s and love it. nice and deep but not ear bleeding noise.

 

HI, this may be another option, i have the same system on my 03 sti and i changed the center section for a straight through one without the small box to give it a bit more , and i think its just right ! only cost 80 quid for a new miltec one.

 

That's definatly worth considering I guess just to give it a little more growl. Is there a cat in that centre section or is it just a box to reduce the noise ?? By changing it am I going to have issues with MOT's etc ??

 

If its the same with the later sti ,the middle cat has already been taken out for the PPP, and been re placed with a link pipe, the pipe i replaced did away with the resonence box , and fits between the back box and the cat delete pipe.
