Standard boost pressure on a MY00

Default Standard boost pressure on a MY00

Hi guy`s just a quickie what should the standard boost pressure be on a MY00 Classic.I have a 100% standard wagon running on super and it peaks at 14.3PSI according to my PSI3.Does this seem ok thanks in advance...

.9 bar is about average, yours is slightly above that if its reading 14.3 psi (13psi is .9 bar)

Thanks a lot Tony I noticed the peak was higher when your at say 30mph in 4th and plant your foot down,also it seems higher since I switched to Super Unleaded

The actual boost target in the ECU is 0.94 bar (13.6psi) up to 5000rpm then tapering off to 0.67 by 6200.

The boost dynamics are normally set to run the actual boost just below the target, and as Tony says yours is running a little over - or suffering a little bit of overshoot by the sound of things. A full or partial decat, or some oil in the boost control pipework could easily explain it. At that level it shouldn't be anythign to worry about provided the engine is otherwise in good nick.
