Default Questions

I get my car back on friday with enigne number 3 in it.

Number one blew up because she was running lean , num2 was faulty.

My question is my intercooler , Its a big front mount , which covers the whole front , including the radiator, The top of it is between the headlights and the bottem in at the bottem of bumper.

Would this be safe ? would there be much difference to just convert it back to top mount ?

2: The car used to be running Link managment , which uses MAP , But now im putting a stock ecu in it, Would any of my wiring be modified for link ? or where/what would the 2nd MAP sensor be ? or would it just use the cars standard map sensor ?

3: what else do i need to look out for apart from the car running lean when i get her back on the road this weekend?

If it running lean you have to many mods on it you need a remapible ecu and get some mapper who knows what there doing to map it and if it a rebuild then you need to run it in reall nicley for a 1000 miles at least and do the above twice as there need a running in map then a map after that

You need your link remapping by the sounds of it.
Also you need some sort of sensor to show you whats happening, try a KS3, available in the group buy section

What sort of power? TBH, I'd stick with the FMIC.

Which LINK do you have, and do you mean MAF sensor? Mine uses a LINK and has no MAF sensor.

Ive taken the link out of the car , and put a Z4 stock ecu in, along with a full engine replacment.

Whats puzzling me is ... There are 2 switches on the dash , that the old owner said where for the ecu.

But now the ECU has been changed - the switches still light up.

Would any of the cars wiring have maybe been modified for the LInk ECU ?
