Default Tracker Help

Having just bought a 2000 plate Impreza turbo advertised as having a tracker fitted i can find no reference to it in the paperwork. I told my insurance company it had one fitted and they have put it on the policy any ideas where it would be and how to activate it ?

i have had little dealings with trackers but surely you would need to know which system is fitted first.

There are number of locations it could be fitted. Yuor best bet would be to contact "Tracker" with the details of the car to see if it can be activated and how much the subscription will be.

Have you tried contacting the previous owner to see if they can shed any light on it?

Mine came with a certificate and the insurance company wanted the number from the certificate before they would put it on the insurance even though it was standard issue on my wrx 300 - surprised they did for you without proof.
I'd agree with above in contacting previous owner.

I have installed a tracker and the easiest place i found was behind the speedo assembly. ONly takes about 5 mins to take all the clocks out and there is plenty of room.

You should have a file with "tracker" on it with loads of paperwork. Mine has a trcker with all the paperwork and the subscription of yearly payments from prevous owners.

Did he tell you who`s tracker it was as there are a few companies( or is it a Tracker system)
It was £80 a year for mine or you can pay a lifetime payment.
