cylinder heads on a EJ20 Block - help please
Hi
After fitting my manifold last night, it became apparent that there was a small hole in the left hand side cylinder head - it had become loose and was leaking - was unaware that some one had attempted to repair it prior to me buying it, now require a cylinder head - I have got a Type R Version 5 (98) sti - are the heads on a sti the same as a wrx - And does anyone know anyone who is selling heads -
Thanks for reading
Regards
Chris

The Version 5~6 WRX/STi head castings are the same Chris - it just the valvetrain which is different.
IIRC the head casting codes are LH C004/5/6/7 and RH C004/5/6/7
Where or what is the hole in the cylinder head - are you sure its not just an oil gallery plug come loose/missing??
Mick

the hole is on the left hand side on the edge of the head - looks like its been a dodgy repair - which unfortunately means i have to get another one, tempted to weld it, it started leaking when we caught it fitting the manifold - before this it was fine. But if i weld it, it will always be in the back of my mind is it going to go again.
Thanks for the advice mick
