Default How many varients?

I'm trying to ditch my oil K+N57i and go back to standard. I have a MY99. The air box I have seems to be correct. The air pipe from MAF back seemed ok until fitting. It's too small in diameter to fit the MAF pipe. This is becoming a real pain in the **** now and becoming expensive.

Are there really that many varients?

You should be able to find the correct pipe easily and at minimal cost from a breaker. You need one from an MY99 or MY00 car. Either side of that and, as you've found out, the MAF tube end will be the wrong diameter. Other MY's don't necessarily have the canister return moulded in either.

you need one that goes from 76mm at the turbo side and 80mm at the maf side IIRC, recently had a headache with this pipe when i bought an aftermarket one..

Ok I've got another pipe now off a MY99 car. Right size but NO small pipe fitting at the bottom. Can I just make a hole in it for this?

The car is going to Tiley's for a full service soon so may ask them if they can get a pipe if I can't make this one fit.
