Default Help with more power!

Am looking to get a bit more power from my wr1 but not looking to go mental with the power.

What is the best mods to achive between 350 and 380bhp? have been trawling through many websites but its all a bit of a minefield to me.

How deep will my pockets need to be to achive this and will the std internals stand up to this power, if not what bhp are the std internals good for?

thanks guys

Tubular headers may be needed, along with a re-map and a 3" de-cat exhaust...

Should see around 360+ bhp and your engine is capable of upto 450 bhp without opening it up for uprating....

Could be done for around £1500 or less if you buy 2nd hand.

To get to 380 bhp a bigger turbo will probably be needed.

HTH

for a car with about 320bhp as standard, why would it cost so much to get over 350???

surely you could make that with a 3" system with a decat, a better panel filter, and a remap???

Its basically just a 04 STi with a better PPP that produces 320 rather than 305.

Somewhere around 350 will be your max without changing the turbo.
Turbo wise there are loads of 380-400 bhp turbos to choose from.

Just been trawling through andy's website again and he recommends the following mods for the power am looking for:

Level 3 360-390 bhp

Full Decat turbo back 3” bore exhaust system
Tubular exhaust headers and flow matched uppipe
Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump
K+N panel filter
Ecutek custom remap
Twin boost set up for high/low power switchable in-car
NGK PFR 7B uprated spark plugs
Fuel Lab turbo specification fuel pressure regulator with fitting kit & gauge
AFP 05-20G custom turbo charger modified to fit with tgv delete

Dose anyone know what a tgv delete is?

Also have looked at these stainless steel equal length headers from scooby clinic. Are they any good?

AFAIK STi's dont have TGV's, or was it just JDM's!

Just took the ScoobyClinic headers and up-pipe of my car there, they worked a treat on mine.
