STRANGE QUESTION
What does exhaust fumes look/smell like before they go through the cat ? I have a leak around my turbo area.

i have similair,leaky uppipe,smells the same really just a bit more pundgant,i have a sportscat so not filtered that great smell wise

i get a smoke like substance coming from the leak, is that what exhaust fumes look like ?
