Full stainless system Blitz Nur Spec r
Hi,
I am looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 1998 Type R and am looking for it to be a fully decatted stainless system from the turbo back.
I have been looking at the Blitz Nur Spec R and have been trying to find out some information on these systems but can't quite find exactly what I'm looking for as have been different things by different people.
What I'd like to know is does the 2 piece system remove the cat in the centre pipe? The reason I ask is it is described as a cat back system.
I would also like to know what size downpipe I would need to fit as I have been told that a 3" to 2.5" downpipe will be ok then someone else told me it is a 3" system straight through and I would need a 3" to 3" downpipe. Any recommendations for a downpipe would be appriciated.
Sorry if this has been covered but I have searched and searched but can't find the answers. I just don't won't the hassle of having wrong parts and having to send them back.
Cheers
Matt

Thanks for the replies. So the two piece Blitz system and a 3" to 2.5" downpipe will be what I need? Any particular downpipes or will the scoobyparts one or similar be ok? I've seen some going for around £220 and if I don't need to pay the extra don't see the point. Shame Blitz don't do one really.

You can get a reducer to make the downpipe 2.5'' at the bottom if its 3'', or you can get the nur spec modded to be 3'' at the downpipe end by any decent welder.
Ps I had a revolution downpipe and 2.5'' reducer on mine.

I go a 3" to 3"downpipe fitted to my nurspec r. I had to cut the flange off the centre sectioin though because it reduces to 2.5". Then got a bit of 3" exhaust tube and welded it to centre and downpipe.

Thanks for the replies. I have a warranty on the car at the moment so will have to have it fitted by the place I bought the car from so wouldn't have thought the welding would be an option. As long as it is a fully stainless system from the turbo back and decatted I'm happy. Thanks again.
