I bought a 3" decat downpipe off here for about 80 pounds. It is the bellmouthed type with the wastegate bit on the side similar to

the one in the ist section of pic. It has improved spool up on turbo (td05 like yours) and whistles nicely. The rest of my exhaust is an all in one jap thing that came with the car (3 inches into 4.5 inch back box loud hehe)

Also a free flowing panel filter would help . I have the same chip as you in my car and it pulls like a train.

Also remember if you take cat off you need to put it back on at mot time unless you have an understanding tester. Luckily i have a 93 wrx which can go through an mot with pre cat test.

If you put a request in the wanted section for a decat im sure theres a few people that have one 2nd hand

youll love the sound of the turbo spool with the decat Also you should be out driving tonight. I would be but mines at the doctors having surgery on the syncro of the gear box and a new clutch as the chip accelerated my worn clutch and clunky gears but all part of the fun

i will have to see what turns up

How much is the clutch and box costing you if you dont mind me asking?
Have you gone for racing clutch and lightened flywheel or opted to keep it std for cost?

My clutch judders like hell on normal take off, though strangely its better when warm
but its the heaviest clutch pedal i'e ever had makes me wonder if its not got an uprated one fitted.

Surprisingly not bad for London prices ... cost is going to be about 420 labour plus parts i supplied the clutch (thats removal of gearbox, fitting clutch stripping gearbox fixing broken syncros and reassembling and skimming flywheel if necessary). I went for an oem one as i drive in traffic lots and want ease and a few more thousand miles than a sports one. I actually run/work in the family garage business but we work on normal unmodified cars but very handy to do mods as i have full ramps and power tools. Just have to do it at weekends or evening as i cant afford to have my own on ramps as paying customers are reserved for that.

Yes thats a damn good price, especially for London rates too.
You're lucky you have access to ramps and tools and the skills for that sort of thing

I can see why you'd want the OEM clutch especially if you do heavy traffic.

By the way where did you get your chip from? was it from the guy on this site?
