Question APS inlet pipe, metal!

Hey all,

Anyone fitted the following:

APS Turbo Inlet Pipe Subaru WRX/STI 02-06 Vivid Racing

Do you think it would give more flow than the hybrid samco 3" pipe that fits 3" inlet turbos or likely to do nada more? I like the smooth curve as entry...prob no difference in performance to straight entry looking at it?

Plus, is it manifold off to fit? I'm sure it is...but might as well ask.

I have an Agency Power hard pipe fitted which is identical to APS.
Quite a big job compared to the silicone pipes.

Performance wise it probably wont do anything better than silicone versions but imo it looks 100 times better as it perfectly matches the manifold & my K&N typhoon.

Got to agree there but looking at the install guide, I'd only do it if fitting tufnol spacers to inlet...maybe one day but changed mind now - def looks mint in polished and love the inlet curve (thought that would have issues next to alternator but notice they have a flat spot added for space so not 100% true smooth curve - zero potential gain over samco performance wise I expect, especially if can "sure" up the samco curved end). I wouldn't mind getting hold of that 3" adaptor hose which fits at the end onto turbo though as I had to cut my samco and use brake hosing (as the hybrid turbo is such a bad fit and so close behind manifold, it just wouldn't go on in one piece). I'll email them...good product.
