Default What is this sensor!?

Havent got a pic, but its located on the block, under the alternator, just behind the crank sensor. The loom has power steering, crank sensor & ???

Wondering if this could be faulty and causing my warm starting problems?

Thanks

Tucker

In proximity to the crank sensor and behind it is the oil pressure switch, a bit of a joke because it only illuminates below about 5-7 psi. The damage is done by then. Also behind that and subject to M/Y are water sensors, one or two located on the cooling chest that runs over the top of the block, diagonally. One is for the O/E temp guage, again a bit of a joke as the reading is "normal" from around 72C to around 96C. The other is the water temp signal to the ECU.

Okay, thanks. So its an oil pressure switch. Was hoping it was something to do with temp as the damn car wont start when its warm. Ive renewed both temp sensors and still no good. Is there a way of testing the crank/cam sensors?

Busy as ever Harvey

Tucker82 - you can check the resistance values of the crank/cam sensors but have you got any fault codes stored in the ECU - might narrow it down a bit more.
