Question classic ecu

would a uk subaru w reg be able to use a prodrive ecu withouit tuning or would the ecu still need to be set up for my car cheers

The Prodrive ecu is plug and play but was provided as part of a package so was mapped to take advantage of the other components in the package. For instance MY97 package consisted of

Remapped ECU
Silicone Y pipe
Centre decat
Prodrive back box
Panel filter
(and Mintex brake pads but this will not affect the ecu obviously)

Have fitted this lot to mine and the difference is well worth the effort. Bit more power, loads more torque and much more fun to drive as the little old TD04 spools up much quicker.

Think the package was similar on the later cars, a bit of research should dig up the parts required.
