Default strange noise after journey

after a 30mile journey doing about 80mph all the way when i got home and parked up on the drive, let the car idle for a minute or two. as i left the car i could a strange noise so i popped the bonnet and i quick look about, the noise was almost like liquid boiling, and it seemed to be coming from around the turbo area, i saw the brake fluid and power steering fluid but there was no movement and the levels looked ok.

anyone had this prob or any idea what the noise may be?

cheers for any help

well the water tank is there as well and that may have been at boiling point. especially at that speed constant!

Yes it's water boiling in the turbo, it's normal. Once the engine stops the flow of water stops so it will boil as the very hot exhaust side of the turbo heats up the core. Fortunately for you the hot water rises into the coolant header tank and slowly draws fresh water through the turbo.

Only worry if the overflow bottle behind the pass side of the radiator is overflowing (it will fill up and empty this is normal).
