what oil to use with slap ??

Default what oil to use with slap ??

ok people i have a my98 uk turbo and a very small amount of piston slap 1st thing in the morning but the question is what oil to use 10/40 semi synthetic or another semi or fully synthetic

Oil type, or grade won't make any difference to piston slap.

as above. just live with it. mine slaps. it really doesnt bother me anymore.

i know it wont make any difference to the slap only an engine re-build will sort that but whats the best oil to use with these symptoms ?

Some people use the Silkolene Pro S 10w-50 to try and keep the noise down. You wont get rid of it, it will just mask the noise a little.

could i use 10w-60 fully synthetic as my m8 works in a motorbike garage and can get me it at trade price
any help is appreciated
