Default attn all ecu elecronics experts.

brought a sti ecu off ebau with a power engineering chip fitted. when i received it capacitor 362 had been snipped, is this ok/normal?

If its on a classic ecu ( 92-96 4 plug ecu ) then this is needed to enable the new chip to override the original chips parameters.

I believe so, but I wouldnt swear to it. If you look on the Polar Performance website there's a fitting guide for the chip and it shows the exact component that needs to be cut.
