Default 02 STI fault code?

Ive got an 02 UK STI that has the CEL on and comes up with code 390- cam position sensor. The car runs fine, ive changed the sensor and cleared the codes but as soon as it starts up the CEL is back on, any one come across this?

mine comes on at high revs, I then have to do the old "ignition on/off" 4 times to make it go.

I think its common on bugeyes, apart from the above the sensor may need changing.

It's a common "fault" on the bugeye ECU.........usually comes on if you hit the rev limiter or thereabouts LOL

The engines only just been run in so it hasn't been thrashed (well, I hope not) I've not across this before, so just switch the ignition on and off 4 times then?
