Default REMAP

I have declared all my obvious mods such as Struts, alloys, exhaust. Would the insuance company check for a remap if the car was crashed or stolen?

The car was remapped by a previous owner and since then the decat downpipe has been removed for a standard part. Would this reset the engine parameters? Thous returning the engine to it's normal setting.

Thanks.

No, you'll still have the remapped ECU. In fact running a CAT with a remap isn't really a good idea tbh, especially if the car was mapped with the decat on it.

Whether or not the insurance company would check the ECU is debatable.

Default REMAP

The car was running 339bhp after remap, so i would guess the remap was done with the decat downpipe fitted. Would you agree?

So what problems will it cause runnig the remapped engine without the decat downpipe?
