throttle cables

Post throttle cables

i`ve been looking at some pictures of Subaru impreza 2002 engine bays and i have noticed that they have 2 throttle cables,i have a wrx 2002 but mine has only 1 throttle cable can some 1 tell me why?

would it be advisable to fit a second cable and what would the advantages be.
also is it a big job to do

The second cable is operated by the cruise control, on cars equipped with it. So no, no advantage fitting a second manually operated cable.
