Default TD05 16g - 20g whats the difference?

I'm possibly after a new turbo for my car. It's a 96 sti fitted with a TD05. I've been looking at TD05's for sale but 16g and 20g keep coming up so whats the difference???

Thanks

16g will spool quicker and if good for fast road, and 20g will lag abit but is better for a higher output engine. will let the people in the know tell you the rest. if your not going past 350bhp there is no point (think thats the genral info) dont qutoe me.

Going to go for the 16g Mike as I don't want the lag! I took my turbo off and all the fins are scrap! It looks like it's had a nut or something flying round it!

You say your car already has a TD05 fitted so will that not be a 16G?

I presume it will be 16g as it had no lag what so ever but like I say it's damaged on all the fins ans I also had a leek on the oil return so i'm just guna replace it.
