Default need help quick...please

hi, i just noticed that when the car is driven quick sometimes the clutch pedal only comes half way up then releases full, tried the search and found a lot on clutch return springs, but always seems to mention the classic shapes.
could someone tell me if the newage cars also have the spring? mine is a 2002 sti type uk.
could do with knowing before i start pulling everything out lol.
thanks, shawn.

Yes the bugeye STi does have the return spring on the slave cylinder. Look down the right hand side of the intercooler, looking from the front of the car.
