have a look on the Perrin website,
they say you don't even need a remap with their kit as it is designed to produce the same air/fuel ratio as the original airbox (god knows how that works).
In fairness it does work, I got one for my car and didn't have it mapped and it worked great. I have it mapped now and still no problems.

Or you can save your pennys and spend an hour with a dremel on your existing setup. Made a huge difference on my STI8 PPP. Instead of peaking at 6000rpm, the car pulls really hard all the way to the redline (7600rpm) with no peaking at all. My only worry now is that it might be leaning! Put the money toward something really useful like porting or a remap...

The OEM induction is pretty good for any newage if you want an induction kit then as long as it's the same diameter as the OEM at the MAF housing then it won't need rescaling......the Newage MAF's are pretty tough so vibration damage not really an issue

No worries - look it up in Argos or B&Q - cross between a drill and an electric screwdriver but much faster. ~£40-£50. Used it to cut and smooth out the stock induction and cut a hole in the lip of the front grill so air can flow straight into the induction. That, by itself greatly increased the mid range to high end power.
Also used it on the weekend to port my exhaust headers - made a drastic difference to the turbo spool and low end response. Throttle is getting nice and 'twitchy' and the car always feels on the edge of just launching, in any gear, except 6th...
Only thing to be careful of is the car running lean. The ECU is very adaptive but with all this induction tweaking I need to tweak the ignition map and possibly the fuelling too.
