Default Fitting Injectors

Guys,

Can anyone give me a rough guide on how to change the injectors on a 2.5 engine?, or maybe is the same as a 2.0?, also can you drive the car straight away when you have fitted better flowing ones?, I am going for 650cc's

Hello mate, as far as I'm aware you shouldn't have any more trouble fitting the 650cc injectors to your 2.5l than you would for a 2.0l there essentially the same engine structure just a larger cylinder bore on the 2.5l. As for driving after, you can but a remap should be done as soon as possible to be on the safe side, as it could be detrimental to the engine. Let me know how you get on mate.

Ben.

It depends how good you are with the spanners? Do you have small hands?

The hardest part is getting off the cages that surround the injectors.

The second hardest part is getting the injectors to seal. If you smear some vaseline around the seal before refitting, it helps.

No worries mate. Like the other chaps have said above mate If you've got the skill, confidence and patience should be a straight forward job, I've got a work shop manual somewhere and it covers injectors in there I will send you the part covering them if you like. Bare with me though I've got to dig the manual out haha.

Ben.
