steering wheel removal

Default steering wheel removal

i need to remove the steering wheel on a sti 4 , as it has the airbag can it go of ,if i need to hammer the wheel slightly... thanks

disconnect the battery should do the trick

Dont you have to take the air bag out first so you can get to the steering wheel bolt,
You do on most other cars not sure about a scoob tho.

how do i remove the airbag,, i would like to put on a non-airbag wheel if i can,,and will this put lights on in the dash( airbag light)..

There is normaly to screw's on the back of the steering wheel (might have to turn it a bit either way to find them).
Undo them then air bag should come out and you will be able to see the centre bolt that holds the steering wheel on.
When you buy a boss it should come with wires of plug to connect to the wires which will keep the air bag light out, but if you just disconnect it the light will come on.
