Ebay B&M Short/Quick Shift Fitting Help!!!
Right, it is very possible that i'm being incredibly thick here!
I have bought one those B&M replica quickshifts from ebay, which came supplied with no instructions! Using B&M's fitting guide I have got the stick swapped over, old bushings removed and now this is where I hit a brick wall!
The B&M guide says use the short bearing shaft (red arrow in pic) and the nylon spacers (I assume this is the blue arrow in pic). The problem being there is only one thick nylon spacer, and another skinnier one (should there not be 2 of each??) and with both these fitted it is still not a snug fit in the pivot holder!?!?! I initially thought that the guy forgot to send me an additional thick spacer, but he assures me that what i have is the full kit, and I have looked at the others on ebay and it seems he's correct!!
Do I use the old bushings? (if so, it wont look right) Or am I just being a complete spaz and got the completely wrong end of the stick (excuse the pun)? Please help as a seemingly easy 10 minute job is turning into a nightmare!!
