gap sound be 0.7mm to 0.8mm on those plugs or sounds like you may have disturbed a vac pipe

0.006" is 0.15mm, if that is what you've set them to, that will cause horrendous misfires at idle.

I suspect the recomendation you folowed was meant to be 6mm?

if you have really managed to gap your plugs at 0.006 i would love to know how, a human hair is only 0.050mm .
34srm is right 0.7 to 0.8mm is the correct gap

If running more than OEM boost target, then between 0.6/0.65/0.7mm is 'recommended' (should prevent possible spark "blow-out" at max boost).

sorry slight miss print ha! set them at 6mm. it drives mint no miss fires whilst driving just shakes a alot on tick over and revs up and down between 0-1000rpm. i checked for cracks, splits in pipes and boost leaks and found nothing.

Typo again! .6mm . I'd love to see a gap of 6mm! lol

It can be common to disturb and break old a coilpack-on-lead (your MY96 car has this type of coilpack) when changing plugs - just a thought...

i know he has changed the plus, but this has to be a vac leak issue for the rough idle. maybe hard to spot a split but you have to check every breather pipe and vac line. everything on the inlet. between the filter to throttle. check everything.
