Default Clutch Adjustment Question

I need help

I have got a 1997 Classic Wagon, just come back from holiday and felt a bit of clutch slip every now and again whilst driving.

My 1st thought was oh s**t clutch gone, but I think is was my big size 11 feet resting on the clutch pedal but only pushing it down by millmetres

The obvious answer is to move my feet off the pedal but can the clutch be adjusted as the bite is right at the top and seems too high or is this how it should be??

Not sure if it is the right thing to do but under your dash on your clutch pedal there is a shaft with a 12mm nut on it. If you loosen the nut you can adjust the rod, turning it with a long nose pliers.
