hi all

i have noticed a slight oil leak around the crank sensor ..and its dripping down from the top of the cambelt cover.. i checked the oil on the dip stick and its showing above the max level ..would this cause oil to come out where the sensor is located?? oh its on a 2004 sti.

 

Is that not from your steering pump?

 

Unsure TBH but your oil obviously should never be above the max level.
How over full is it then? Have you tryed tightening up the crank sensor bolt....I mean is it loose? sorry I have a classic you see, so I'm probably not much help

 

Over filling can cause many problems. Drain some off and refil to proper level
